The Reza Abbasi Museum was opened in Tehran in memory of the famous Safavid painter Kashan Reza Abbasi Kashani (1565-1635). It exhibits Persian artwork from the prehistoric period to the thirteenth century across three halls: the Pre-Islamic hall, the Islamic Arts Hall, and the Painting and Calligraphy Hall.
