The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran has resumed operations after more than a year of suspension.
It follows extensive negotiations between Azerbaijan and Iran, marking a step towards normalizing diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The embassy's activities were suspended in January 2023 following an attack on the embassy's building in Tehran.
The armed attack resulted in the death of one person and injuries to two others, prompting Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs to announce the immediate suspension of the embassy's operations.
After a year of diplomatic efforts, Iran has now reportedly taken appropriate measures to ensure the security of the new embassy building.
The Azerbaijani authorities have said that additional information regarding the restoration of full consular services will be provided in the future.
