The Civil Aviation Organization of the Islamic Republic has announced that flights across the country resumed on Thursday.

The decision follows the temporary suspension of flights in response to missile strikes launched by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Israel.

Jafar Yazarlo, the spokesperson for the Civil Aviation Organization, confirmed that airlines have been authorized to resume flight operations after verifying safe flight conditions and lifting imposed restrictions.

Yazarlo said, "Passengers are advised to check their flight schedules with their respective airlines and ensure their trip is confirmed before heading to the airport."

He added that airlines will fully refund tickets for the canceled flights.

The announcement comes after a day of heightened tensions following the IRGC launching a missile attack on Israel in response to the killing of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, along with Hassan Nasrallah and Abbas Nilforoushan.

Previously, the Civil Aviation Organization had declared a nationwide suspension of all flights until Thursday morning.
