Rug-Dyeing in Khameh

Because of the fall in demand for handmade rugs, not many businesses have been able to continue their operations. But the Eskandari Brothers' shop in Hamedan is one of the few still in operation, and has received orders despite the business suffering from the ongoing economic crisis. As with every year, the workshop is currently in the process of dyeing the thread for the rugs, the raw material of which usually comes from Isfahan.
