The IRGC-affiliated Tasnim News Agency reported on Monday, June 8, a missile attack from Yemen toward Israel. Citing published reports, the media outlet wrote that a missile was fired by forces affiliated with Ansar Allah toward Israel.
Concurrently, Hezam al-Asad, a senior member of Ansar Allah, announced what he termed the "equation of the unity of fronts" in a message published on X. Referring to Tehran, Beirut, Sanaa, Baghdad, and Gaza, he claimed that these actors now form a joint front on the battlefield.
These remarks come as Iran and Israel carried out retaliatory strikes against one another on Monday morning. The Islamic Republic's attacks took place following an Israeli strike on Beirut's southern Dahiyeh, a region considered one of the main strongholds of Lebanon's Hezbollah.
Ansar Allah, more commonly known as the Houthis, is a political and military group based in Yemen. Despite its proximity to the Islamic Republic, it is considered an independent organization from Lebanon's Hezbollah. Nonetheless, both groups are part of the network of forces allied with the Islamic Republic in the region and declare themselves loyal to Iran's ruling government.
