Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, or Parliament, appeared on an IRIB program and claimed that the Islamic Republic possesses weapons that, if deployed, could "disrupt the lives of Israeli citizens."
Boroujerdi also stated that Iran has weapons capabilities at its disposal that have not yet been utilized.
Furthermore, addressing the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf, he warned that, to prevent the expansion of the war, they must bar Israel and its allies from utilizing their facilities and infrastructure.
The parliament's National Security Committee member added that if such facilities are made available to the opposing side, the likelihood of the conflict expanding across the region will increase.
These remarks come at a time when military tensions between Iran and Israel have escalated in recent days, with both sides carrying out reciprocal attacks against each other.
