Air Defense Activity and Jet Fighters Sighted in Tehran Sky

According to information received by IranWire from citizen journalists in Tehran, around 12:00 PM on Monday, June 8, the sound of air defense systems operating was heard in parts of the capital's center and west.

IranWire sources reported that within the perimeter of Sarafraz and Ghaem-Magham streets, near the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the sound of air defense activity was heard. Simultaneously, jet fighters were sighted in the skies over these areas.

Images received by IranWire from citizen journalists in Tehran show that, despite these military movements, many citizens remained on the streets, watching the flights of the fighter jets.

Simultaneously, IranWire citizen journalists in the Falahiyeh neighborhood, near Azadi Square, also reported sighting jet fighters in the skies over western Tehran.

Up to the time of publishing this report, official authorities of the Islamic Republic had not commented on these reports. Earlier this morning, news agencies affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards had denied any explosions in Tehran.
