Allocation of University Entrance Exam Quotas for War Victims

Hossein Simaee Sarraf, the Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, announced that the allocation of a special quota for applicants affected by the recent war in the 2026 nationwide university entrance exam (Konkoor) has been finalized. According to him, the operational details of this plan, including how applicants can benefit from it and the authority responsible for issuing certificates to eligible individuals, are currently being drafted and finalized.

The Minister of Science also announced the continuation of online classes and exams for undergraduate programs, stating that this decision was made within the framework of conditions resulting from the recent war.

Ministry of Science officials have not yet released further details regarding the number of individuals covered by this quota, the criteria for identifying those affected, or the extent of this privilege's impact on university admissions.
