Donald Trump, President of the United States, wrote on Truth Social on Wednesday, June 10, that the Islamic Republic had delayed too long in reaching a deal that “could have been very good for them,” adding that “now they must pay the price.”
In the post, Trump claimed that Iran’s military is “in complete disarray” and said Tehran “only talks and doesn’t act.” Trump wrote that a “large part” of Iran’s military capability, including its navy and air force, “essentially no longer exists,” describing them as “completely defeated.” In sharp language, he added that “the bully of the Middle East is dead” and repeated that Tehran’s officials had wasted too much time in reaching a deal that could have been beneficial for them.
The US president, without providing details about the deal he was referring to, warned that the time had come for the Islamic Republic to “pay the price for its actions.” He again accused the Iranian government of failing to follow through, saying Tehran “is not a man of action.”
