Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic, said the country's opponents are seeking to create internal divisions and weaken national unity, speaking at the "Trustee of Iran" ceremony held at Roudaki Hall in honor of Ali Khamenei.
Pezeshkian stated that Iran's adversaries cannot force the country to surrender through threats, military attacks, or bombings. According to him, their primary objective is to sow discord within the country and undermine internal cohesion.
Addressing the economic situation, the Iranian president acknowledged that the country is facing pressure due to sanctions and other challenges. He said that, in his words, "the country's pathways have been closed," while referring to ongoing deficits, imbalances, and economic difficulties.
He added that the government is working to manage these challenges and prevent additional burdens from falling on the public. In another part of his remarks, Pezeshkian cautioned against escalating domestic disagreements, stressing that under current circumstances, political tensions and divisions should not be intensified.
