Iran executed six people, including four Afghan nationals, in two separate prisons, according to a human rights organization.

Islamic Republic's authorities hanged four men at Taybad Prison in Khorasan Razavi province on Monday, the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights reported.

They included Ershad Yarkhoda, a 38-year-old Iranian father of two from Taybad, and three Afghan nationals identified as Faiz Mohammad Shokhnai, Khaled and Khaleq, whose surnames were not provided.

All four were convicted on drug-related charges.

Two more executions were carried out on Sunday at Qazvin Central Prison.

Saadi Minaei, 39, from Qazvin, was hanged after spending four years on death row for drugs offenses.

Mohammad Ebrahimi, 31, from Herat in Afghanistan, was executed for premeditated murder after three years in prison.

Ebrahimi was executed in secret without being allowed a final meeting with his family, according to informed sources.
