More than two weeks after the arrest of prominent human rights lawyer and activist Nasrin Sotoudeh, her current location remains unknown.

Since her arrest, Sotoudeh has made only one brief phone call to inform her family that she had been detained. She has had no further contact with them over the past 16 days.

Her family’s efforts to locate her by visiting judicial and security authorities have been fruitless. They have been told that her name is not registered in their systems. Despite the passage of over two weeks, the Judiciary has remained silent, and no information regarding the reasons for her arrest or potential charges against her has been released.

At the time of her arrest, all personal and electronic devices belonging to her and her husband, Reza Khandan, who is himself currently imprisoned in Evin Prison due to his own human rights activities, were confiscated.

The lack of information regarding this renowned human rights activist, who was previously released from prison due to health issues, has left her family deeply concerned for her well-being.
