At least eight Kurdish civil and environmental activists were forcefully detained by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence forces in the western Kermanshah province.
The arrests took place in the early hours of Tuesday.
The detainees, identified as Maria Khani, Jahangir Azadi, Lotfollah Parviz, Hamidreza Rahimian, Salman Parhan, Mohammad Parveen, Ali Farajkhani, and Mustafa Rostami, were reportedly taken from their homes to an undisclosed location.
According to the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, IRGC intelligence forces conducted the arrests with excessive force and without presenting any judicial documents.
The activists are known collaborators in the "Save Zagros" campaign, a signature-collecting initiative for environmental protection.
They have also been actively involved in controlling recent forest fires in the region.
The specific reasons for the arrests and charges against the activists remain unclear.
Families of the detained individuals have been unsuccessful in their attempts to gather information about their whereabouts or legal status.
